Most parents shy away from planning their teenagers birthday parties, but Birmingham is full of fun, interesting birthday party ideas for teenage boys and girls.
Off the top of my head, there’s the traditional, yet always fun, DJ party. Have it at home or at one of the interesting venues listed in the facilities section. We had ours at home with Jamm Entertainment, we bought as many glow accessories as we could find, and then had the Doodles truck come by for a refreshing treat at the end.
How about having a Game Truck like Gamin’ Ride come to your party. The girls have as much fun as the boys with the video games and Dance Dance Revolution.
We rented a large inflatable slide from Fun Source Rentals one year for two parties in the same day. The younger kids had a party during the day hours, teenagers in the evening. It was like having each party for half price. I couldn’t tell you which group had the best time.
Try rock climbing at First Avenue Rocks downtown, for a great time full of laughter and lots of energy. The facility is so unique and exciting, everyone will love it.
Teenagers love to skate. We have so many options such as Roller skating at Skates 280, ice skating in Pelham, bowling at Vestavia Bowl, or play practically any sport at Sports Blast. What could be better?
For some outdoor adventures, rent a pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park near the beach, go horseback riding, hiking, or rent a cabin for an overnight camping party.
Teenagers love movies. I had Backyard Movie Parties set up a big screen in our backyard, rented a popcorn maker & bought an unreasonable amount of candy. Have everyone bring a lawn chair. You can invite as many people as you like!!
If you want an easy celebration, hire a limo from Legacy Limousines to take the teens to dinner, out for ice cream, the possibilities are endless.
Did you know Sips & Stokes in Trussville offers parties? Or that we have a place in Helena called Warehouse Hobby Raceway for remote controlled car racing? Teens would never think of it on their own, but I bet they’d have a blast.
Someone once told me how wonderful it is to provide teenagers a safe, fun place to be. We need to remember, they’re still young and they still like to have fun and at the same time, feel celebrated too.
